WSOP Event #35 $3K HORSE Day 3

BC’s Dan Idema returns for Day 4 facing down two other players for his third bracelet. Sadly, no live streaming for this event today.

WSOP Event #36 $1.5K PLO Day 2

Nineteen players are left out of the 978 entrants. Nine PNW players made it to Day 2, three of them cashed, and four others are still in the game, with WA’s Shane Abbot in second place and OR’s indomitable Dmitrii Valouev in 5th.

WSOP Event #38 $3K NLHE Day 1

Three PNW players remain made it through Day 1: Noah Vaillancourt (BC), Hyoung Chae (WA), and Jonathan Clancy (OR). 297 players remain from the 989 entries.

WSOP Event #39 $1.5K Ten-Game Mix

Three players from Washington (Andrew Rennhack, Dustin Leary, Daniel Ratigan) and one from British Columbia (Greg Mueller) made it through the mixer to Day 2.

PHamous Poker Series #21 $565 NLHE Goliath $500K Guarantee

1,205 entries in the latest run of the Goliath made for $590K prize pool. Ka Ng of Washington took 4th place for nearly $41K (first place paid $118K). Jae Bahn of Beaverton, Oregon got $7.7K for 13th place. Scott Kateian (WA) took 23rd, Christopher Marr (WA) 52nd, Vikas Sondhi (WA) 84th,  and Portland local Christopher Cross got 124th.

PHamous Poker Series #23 $150 PLO8 $5K Guarantee

249 entries in this event bloated the prize pool to nearly $30K. Miltiathis Douvas of Vancouver, British Columbia and Christopher Knapp of Washougal, Washington cashed in 23rd and 24th places, respectively.  Addition: Ryan Durkee of WA cashed in 5th place in this event.

  • If you’re reading this as soon as I post it, you’ve got less than half-an-hour to make the first level of the WSOP $1K NLHE Seniors event, which probably means you’d better be in line already, since that thing gets huge. Maybe you should wait until the afternoon $10K Stud Hi-Lo Championship Tomorrow is the 90-minute $1.5K NLHE Extended Level; coming up Sunday is the NLHE Super Seniors (65 and older) and the $50K Poker Players Championship mix game (like anyone playing that is reading this).
  • The Venetian has the first of two start days for a $200K guarantee NLHE event with a $600 buy-in. This evening is the first of two starting flights for a $150K guarantee, $1.1K buy-in PLO8 tournament. Both have a second flight tomorrow, with Day 2 on Sunday. The $200K event is scheduled for a Day 3 on Monday.
  • Planet Hollywood has a $25K guarantee $200 buy-in NLHE a $330 NLHE event supporting a cerebral palsy charity in the afternoon. There are two $565 events scheduled for the weekend: a $200K guarantee NLHE Seniors game tomorrow and a $25K guarantee NLHE Heads-Up match Sunday. Both evenings have $130 $5K guarantee NLHE Turbos.
  • Aria is back to their regular schedule of $235 NLHE at 1pm and $150 NLHE at 7pm.
  • The Wynn Summer Classic has the second of three starts for their $250K guarantee for $600.
  • The Grand Poker Series takes another whack at a 2-day $100K guarantee for $350 at 11am. Tomorrow is a $250 Seniors event. Another $100K guarantee is on the ticket for Sunday.
  • Binion’s Poker Classic is running a $10K guarantee PLO8 game for $220. Tomorrow and Sunday are starting flights for their sub-Seniors event (45 and older), a $400 buy-in.
